Local Resident Has a Pet Project for Neighbourhood

A local Ringwood resident is opening her house to the public on Sunday 22nd April in a bid to help other Maroondah City Council residents manage their pet cats.

Using a custom designed Catmax Clearnet® enclosure, local cats Thomas and Mischka, four and one year-old cats respectively, now enjoy spending time together outside in complete safety.

Thomas and Mischka's owner says that she was happy to show other pet owners how easy it was to keep cats safe from roaming and getting into trouble.

"The enclosure means that my cats are perfectly safe and I don't have to worry about them being hit by a car, attacked by a dog or killing any wildlife," said Wendy.

"It also means that I don't have to have them inside all the time either and they can spend some time outside playing," she said.

According to Mr Paul Chapman, Managing Director of Catmax, enclosing cats involves a slight cultural shift, but responsible owners should realise that it's no different to securing a dog into a yard with a fence.

Catmax is a cat management specialist and Australia's leading designer and constructor of cat enclosures such as the free-standing Caboodles® and fixed Clearnets® which are ultra-strong and cat-friendly.
