Publicity Queen Wins Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal Account for Queensland
Publicity Queen has scored another significant client, securing management of the annual Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal across the whole of Queensland.
After winning a competitive bid, Publicity Queen Sally Romano was pleased that Kmart had entrusted her company with this crucial campaign.
“It’s such a positive, heart-warming campaign to run,” Ms Romano said, “because it taps into the Christmas and holiday spirit that we all share, and encourages random acts of generosity at a time when many Queenslanders are going without.
The target for 2009 is 50 000 gifts, and we will be working hard with KMart to reach and to exceed that goal.”
The Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal encourages customers from around Australia donate a gift tag that will be used to purchase a gift for a boy or girl or teenager, and the tag will then adorn the giant Wishing Trees that feature in every store around the country as Christmas approaches.
“We are pleased and proud to do our part in driving this campaign on Kmart’s behalf, bringing together the talents of our team, working closely in close collaboration with our charitable partner, the Salvation Army.”
Ms Romano advised that key messages and coverage on the campaign will be appearing as the year ticks down, and is confident this year’s appeal will result in a giant haul of pressies for the needy children of Queensland and their families.
